We are happy to accept returns when:

  • The original invoice is supplied
  • The goods have not been a special order
  • They are full, un-opened boxes in the current shade/batch
  • Goods are in a saleable condition
  • It is within 14 days of purchase
  • A 25% handling fee will be applied

The responsibility and costs of returning goods for credit to our store is solely that of the customer.

We are UNABLE to accept returns when:

  • Goods are Non-Stock and have been Ordered In, unless they are faulty
  • Goods that are sale items or discontinued lines


In the event of a cancellation of an order, or part thereof, Ballarat Tiles can claim payment of 25% of the order cost, or part thereof.


  • All goods remain the property of Ballarat Tiles until paid in full
  • For all products, especially tiles, the purchaser should check prior to laying to ensure they are the correct colour, shade, surface finish and free from defects.

No claims will be accepted once tiles have been fixed or installed.

  • All care is taken when measuring from plans but as there are many reasons for under or over-supply no responsibility will be taken for mismeasurement.
  • All tiles are subject to colour variation due to high firing temperature of clay products.
  • Tiles are not guaranteed against crazing, cracking, chipping, or breaking.
  • Samples displayed are indicative only.
  • No claim for shortages or breakage will be accepted unless notified at delivery or pickup.
  • Determining the suitability of our products for any intended use shall be solely the responsibility of the user. Check your product before installation, once the products are installed you have accepted the product and no claims can be made.
